NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. Canada is home to 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't too far behind the United States.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccination-free. Israel already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
